Kenny Ball, Chris Barber & Acker Bilk
The 'Dream Team' of Traditional Jazz is
brought together for a new live concert. The fantasy front line during
the 'Trad Jazz' boom - those heady days between Billy Hayley and The
Beatles - would have been Kenny Ball on trumpet, Chris Barber on
trombone and Acker Bilk on clarinet. They never played together then,
though their three bands totally dominated the scene (and charts) for
years. But now, at last, you can see Kenny, Chris and Acker (with their
bands) performing together in this very special concert presentation.
This new Three B's show follows on
from the recent album release by DECCA and a massively successful
show at 02 Arena in London this summer, where the crowd were treated to
the three together in concert for the first time in a decade.
